The Brave Dress was made ethically in Swahlee’s studio workshop in Assam, India. It is made using traditional khadi (handspun yarn) handloom fabric woven by Freeset, a WFTO certified company, in West Bengal India.
The Brave dress features an alluring Bardot cut with a demure hem. This dress has an elasticized waist and neckline that can be worn on or off the shoulders. The midi-length hem falls above mid-calf on most.
As this dress is handmade, some variations may exist which add to its uniqueness and character.

Wash and Care
Swahlee prewashes and machine dry all cotton fabric before cutting and sewing in order to pre-shrink.
Dresses should always be washed with like colors.
Cotton dresses can be machine washed and machine dried. However, as with all garments, line drying your dress, rather than tumble-drying, will increase its lifespan, as it is gentler on the fibers. Line drying is also better for our planet by reducing CO2 emissions. Colored clothing should be dried in the shade to prevent fading.
A warm iron may be necessary to remove wrinkles.
Line drying results in less wrinkles on our 100% handloom cotton dresses than tumble drying.
